The Adventures of Long Arm 2
Ricky is a superhero with a very long arm and he gets into new awesome adventure!
"Exoskeleton Droid", said Simon proudly. "He's programmed in combat arts, and can lift weights of up to 200 kilos. And he can fly."
Simon scanned all the monitors. No sign of the bike, Mrs Schofield or anything suspicious. Which meant they'd gone to the only place the cameras were down.
"Switch it over!" said her dad. "Britain's Got Flatulence is on the other channel."
Wondering what that is? Well, it was a skateboard, with some rockets attached.

The Monstrous Book of Monsters by Libby Hamilton, Jonny Duddle and Aleksei Bitskoff
Written by Dr. Thomas Jelly and packed with nauseating novelties and foul facts, this book will teach you how to avoid monsters, show you how to spot them in the news or on the street, and give you a peek inside their dangerous (and smelly) world. At the end, we learn that Dr. Jelly has fallen foul of the infamous book monster, and the readers themselves will be lucky to escape the same fate!
Choose a trap that suits the monster you're catching.
The Practical Princess Guide by Libby Hamilton, Faye Simms and Aleksei Bitskoff
Girls who imagine how wonderful it would be to become a princess can stop dreaming and get practical - that's how modern princesses are made! Find out the various paths to becoming royal, look at the different types of princess you can be, explore the Pampered Princess Emporium that sells everything a budding royal lady needs and then take the Princess Test to see if you've got what it takes to make it to the top!
A modern palace can be built high rather than wide, so you can live in royal style even in the most crowded city.
To be a wise ruler, read as often as you can in your well-stocked library.
Every Princess needs a place in their palace to be alone so they can relax in their pajamas, eat chocolate and watch all of their favourite films.
Pillywiggins and the Tree Witch
Review
Julia Jarman creates an unforgettable character in the shape of a tree (and) the Tree Witch is beautifully illustrated in detailed black and white drawings reminiscent of old woodcuts in traditional fairy story books.

From the Author
This story has been a long time coming. For years, ever since houses were built on the field where I used to play as a child, I've had a vision in my head of a fairy ring growing through the carpet in someone's house. There was a fairy ring in the field - I never dared step inside it - and country folk do say a fairy ring can never be destroyed. What if that were true? The idea lay dormant then someone gave me an exquisite figure, a fairy doll, green not pink, and just the sort of fairy who would dance in a magic circle. I called her Pillywiggins, and the story started to grow.
Julia Jarman
There was a rabbit sitting in the tree. The tree looked like a person. But then, trees often did if you were Natasha.
Huge, the Bugaboo's swinging arms nearly touched the ground. Skin like mouldy cheese hung from its body in folds. She couldn't see its face till it turned to look in her direction. Then she saw the single eye in the middle of its forehead.
"It's the Red Goblins", gasped Pillywiggins from in front of her. "They're Fairy Land's top flying force. They're after you, so fly for your mortal life".
"It's Hot Breath,"said Pillywiggins...
"He is the dragon who guards the wood. I should have guessed he made the clearing. Don't worry I can deal with him."
Looking up, she saw the loveliest fairy she had ever seen and she longed to gaze at her forever.
"Kneel," said the Queen, raising her wand and Natasha sank to her knees.

Aleksei Bitskoff is a British illustrator of children's books, including the best-selling Louis Sachar Wayside School book series, Little Badman by Humza Arshad and Henry White and Enid Blyton Family book series.
Aleksei was born and brought up in Narva, Estonia, and attended the Ivangorod School of Arts and then Narva School of Arts. In 2001 Aleksei Bitskoff received a BA in Russian Language and Literature from Narva College of the University of Tartu and worked as a newspaper cartoonist. His caricatures were first published in Pikker, a famous Estonian magazine of satire and humour established in 1943.
For many years Aleksei Bitskoff was practising Buddhist meditation, travelled around Europe and Asia and didn’t create any art at all. After an inspirational trip to Nepal, his life made a U-turn and he decided to start his drawing career again.
Aleksei Bitskoff studied illustration at London College of Communication and received a Masters degree in Camberwell College of Arts in 2010.
In 2012 together with Ickypen studio, he created an interactive story for iPad “Icky Mr Fox”, which was listed in the 50 best children’s apps for smartphones and tablets according to the Guardian newspaper.
In may 2017 Aleksei Bitskoff talked about similarities between the creative process and meditation at the TEDx event in Tallinn, Estonia.
In 2019 he has created concept designs for an interactive play space at Discover Children’s Story Centre in London.
Bitskoff’s illustrations are detailed, humorous and quirky.
Describing the technical details of his work he says: "I love drawing in my sketchbook with a black ballpoint pen and also use a Wacom Cintiq to create artwork digitally and speed up the process to meet the deadlines.”
Aleksei Bitskoff currently lives with his wife and two kids in Surrey, England.
